Hello, and welcome to the 10th anniversary of the Driscoll Ranch Rodeo! I would like to begin by thanking every one of the spectators for coming out to support this fine event! It is such an honor to be your 2010 Queen. I am twenty years old,and I call Sonora, California home. I am currently a student at Columbia Community College, and plan to transfer to Fresno State to obtain a degree in Animal Science, minoring in Communications. As a licensed cosmetologist, I enjoy spending my time interacting with people, especially my fellow rodeo fans! More than anything else, I love spending time on a horse’s back. Whether I am barrel racing, learning to rope, carrying out my Queenly duties, or trail riding through the beautiful Sierra Nevadas, I know I can count on my six-year-old bay Quarter Horse gelding, “Junior”. My mother and I raised and trained him ourselves, and I could not ask for better equine partner. Lastly, I’d like wish the best of luck to all of the competitors, and also to take the time to thank everyone who helps make the Driscoll Ranch Rodeo happen. I am so excited to have the opportunity to spend the next year of my life promoting the Driscoll Ranch Rodeo at events all over the state of California, but this rodeo is by far my favorite. Besides, there’s no place I’d rather be than a place where “strangers meet and leave as friends”! Many Blessings, Ariel Diggan 2010 Miss Driscoll Ranch Rodeo Queen

Dear Rodeo Fans, I would like to welcome you to the 10th annual Driscoll Ranch Rodeo! Come see the talented cowboys, cowgirls, and just as athletic rodeo stock. I am Makayla Beauchamp and I am ecstatic to represent the Driscoll Ranch Rodeo.I have always wanted to be a Rodeo Queen. I remember when I was younger I saw those pretty girls waving around the arena going as fast as they possibly could. I wanted to be them! I am grateful to have this wonderful opportunity and truly honored to be the Miss. Driscoll Ranch Rodeo Princess. I am 14 years young and currently attending Livermore High School. I am planning on attending the University of California Davis in four years to become a Veterinarian. My best friend spends her life on four legs. Her name is Diamond and she is a 10 year old chestnut Quarter horse. I have been riding horses since I was just months old. I would visit my grandparent’s house every summer in Hermiston, Oregon to ride their horses.

I started riding hunter jumper at the age of 7, and started Western just three years ago. During these past three years I have shown at many reining shows, as well as trail, showmanship, pleasure, halter, and equitation. I have shown at the Alameda County Fair for the past three years and received High Point Champion my first two years in 4-H and high point champion this past year through FFA. My planthis year is to get into roping, cutting, and team penning. Aside from horses I have raised rabbits, a guinea pig, pigs and sheep. In my free time you can find me at the barn, hanging out with my friends or spending time with my family. I would like to say THANK YOU to everybody who helps with the Driscoll Ranch Rodeo, without your help there is no way this rodeo would be able to go on. To the sponsors, your love for rodeo and the western way of life are what make this all possible. I would also like to thank my family for their unconditional love and support. It means a lot to be in a family with so much love. To one more special person in my life, Michele Ulrech, THANK YOU for your support and help on everything I have achieved through out my time with you. With out you, I would not be at this point in my life. Rodeo Fans make sure you mark your calendars, July 24th and 25th, so you can come see for your self just how amazing this rodeo is. Join me to witness the action packed bull ridding and the quick hands of tie down ropers. So grab your tickets and I will see you there. So chinch up and enjoy the Driscoll Ranch Rodeo.
