Driscoll Ranch has been raising cattle in La Honda since 1968. The breed is Aberdeen Angus or better known as Black Angus cattle. These cattle were chosen for their ability to adapt to a cooler type climate here on the coast. All the cows are breed to Registered Angus Bulls from November through March. In late spring the cattle are separated, tagged and given their vaccination. Around June last year’s steers are gathered for market and taken to Aromas, California, to be sold to a feed lot or other local buyers.
